The awards ceremony was attended by member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Prosecutor General of the Vietnamese Supreme Peoples Procuracy Nguyen Hoa Binh, as well as PCC member and Secretary of the Party Committee for the centrally-run agencies association Dao Ngoc Dung, along with leaders of ministries, sectors and organisations.

The first prize was won by Nguyen Bao Tri for his article featuring Nguyen Van Thanh, Secretary of the An Phu district’s Party Committee in An Giang province, who has formed flexible and practical guidelines to enhance Party building, improve human resources quality, and to address pressing issues in the district.

Three second, four third and ten consolation prizes were also presented at the ceremony.

Audiences attending the event also enjoyed songs and dances praising Uncle Ho and listened to speeches delivered by the contest’s winners as well as stories of public figures featured in the winning entries.

Addressing the event, PCC member and Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Thuan Huu congratulated the winners and highly appreciated the positive role of writers, reporters, collaborators and readers nationwide participating in the contest.

He said that the entries, which explore and honour the exemplary models in studying and following Uncle Ho’s moral examples, have contributed to raising the public awareness of President Ho’s ideology whilst encouraging people to hold onto their dignity and fight against political and ethical degradation.

The contest, the fourth of its kind to be held by the Nhan Dan newspaper and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, received nearly 800 entries by entrants from across the country, 150 of them were published in the newspaper’s publications.
