Ben Tre Association of FellowCountrymen debuts in Tien Giang

On June 20, the Ben Tre Association of Fellow Countrymen was established in Tien Giang. Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended this event.

After a period of preparation, the Ben Tre Association of Fellow Countrymen was established with 31 members including 1 chairman and 2 deputy chairman. Most of members are retired who has worked ans lived in Tien Giang province.

The main task of the Ben Tre Association of Fellow Countrymen is consolidated this organization and developed new members. Every year on January 17 is selected to be the day of gathering. It is an ocassion of Ben Tre people’s meeting, exchanging experiences, strengthening solidarity and helping each other to overcome difficulties, joining hands to contribute to the homeland and the nation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc praised the contributions of generations of Ben Tre people in Tien Giang province. At the same time, he also emphasized that the Ben Tre Association of Fellow Countrymen should continue to maintain good works with the spirit of joining hands to contribute to Tien Giang’s development.
