The response teams will be on call 24 hours a day to investigate, monitor and verify cases of the disease as well as take measures to isolate and treat patients who are suspected to be infected with the dangerous disease.
Their task is to promptly implement measures to prevent the spread of the dangerous disease in the various regions throughout Vietnam.
The rapid response teams are also responsible for supporting other regions in the country if needed or if the situation becomes more complicated.
The teams must co-ordinate closely with Steering Committees for Preventing Diseases in infected areas to direct and oversee preventive works of the dangerous disease.
On the same day, the Lang Son provincial medical sector issued documents outlining strengthening surveillance measures of MERS-CoV disease at border gates, including Huu Nghi international border gate and Dong Dang international railway station.
