VFF leader sends greetings to Hoa Hao Buddhist leaders

Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front (VFF), passed on congratulatory messages to the Central Managing Committee, dignitaries and followers of the Hoa Hao religion on June 27 on the occasion of the religion’s 2015 Great Founding Festival.

VFF President Nhan said the VFF recognised and appreciated Hoa Hao Buddhism’s positive contributions to the nation building process and national sovereignty. He expressed his belief that the religion would continue to strengthen national unity and support the campaigns run by the VFF.

Hoa Hao Buddhism was established in 1939 and has since then become a patriotic religion, implementing a range of programmes to help the poor.
