Summarize the campaign of "Day for the Poor" in 2015

On October 16, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has held a summarizing conference of the campaign “Day for the Poor” in 2014 and launch stimultaneously the peak of “Month for the Poor” (from October 17 to September 17, 2015).

 

Collectives and individuals received the Provincial People's Committee's Certificate of Merit

In 2015, there was 132 units contributed the campaign "Day for the Poor", including 97 provincial agencies, 24 businesses and 7 religious institutions, 1 non-governmental organization and 3 outside-province agencies. The total raised fund is VND73.04 billion (including VND57.711 from social security program and VND 15.33 billion from “Fund for the Poor”).

By this resource mobilization, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations at all levels in the province built 27 houses for beneficiaries and 287 solidarity houses for the poor, with total funding of VND9.69 billion.

 

Besides, the mass organizations, public associations built 413 houses for the workers, union members and members, the poor, with total funding of VND11.97 billion, supported 17 projects for 167 poor households to borrow capital for production with a total amount of VND1,395 billion, awarded scholarships and gifts to 1,030 poor students with amount of VND380 million, etc…

 

On this occasion, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificate of Merit of the Provincial People’s Committee to 12 collectives, 5 individuals by contributing fundings to social charity work.
