Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs works with Tien Giang

The delegation of Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs led by Deputy Minister Huynh Van Ti has just worked with Tien Giang province on vocational training. Deputy Chairman of  Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc and leaders of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs received the delegation.

At the working session, leaders of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs reported the  result of vocational training in Tien Giang province. According to reports, the province has over 24 vocational training institutions including 5 colleges and middle vocation with training scale over 4,000 students.

In 5 years, the province has supported vocational training for more than 39 thousand rural workers in 29 occupations, getting a rate 111.29% compared to its objectives. There is 12% of total students, rural workers graduated 1 year-vocational classes getting new jobs, over 79.5% applying knowledges on production and over 74% increasing income by the rate of VND900 thousand to VND1.5 million per one month for a household.

Leader of the province has proposed that Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs soon promulgates documents to guide the implementation of the Law on Vocational education at the local level, supporting finance in planning, capacity building for vocational education establishments to meet the requirements of the new situation ...

Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Huynh Van Ti highly appreciated the efforts of Tien Giang in vocational training recently. Based on the results achieved, Deputy Minister suggested that in the next time, the function of the province needs to rearrange the structure suitable profession, to continue to fasten vocational training with employers require businesses, to be interested in raising the quality of the staff working in vocational training to meet the requirements of social economic development of the province.
