Tet gifts to be presented to revolution contributors

President Truong Tan Sang has signed a decision on giving Tet gifts to those who have made contributions to the revolution on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Under the decision, a Tet gift worth VND400,000 will be presented to those participating in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945 and up to the August Revolution in 1945, heroic mothers, heroes of the armed forces and seriously wounded soldiers who lost 81% of their working capacity or more.

A gift worth VND200,000 will be given to revolution contributors who lost 80% of their working capacity or less, and a number of other policy beneficiaries.

It has become a tradition in Vietnam to offer gifts to contributors to the revolution for the Lunar New Year, in addition to other occasions such as the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Day.
