Activities to celebrate International Women's Day

A number of activities are being held across the country to celebrate the 106th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8).

The International Forum on Women's Leadership for Sustainable Development was held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 5.

The forum aimed to raise public awareness on female leadership and promote the influence of female leaders.

It is also expected to create a venue for women to work together and share information, update development trends of female entrepreneurship both at home and abroad, thereby enhancing understanding and solidarity.

The An Giang provincial Labour Confederation has organised a contest themed 'Praising the homeland, sea,islands and Vietnamese women’.

The event attracted 140 female contestants male who showed off their skills in flower arrangement and culinary competitions.

Other interesting outdoor activities were also organised.

From March 6-8, female tourists to the central city of Da Nang will enjoy a wide range of promotional activities such as lucky draws and gift offers at Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort, one of the most popular destinations in the city.

In addition, Asian Park Da Nang will offer a 50% discount on tickets to all female visitors.
