The 18th National Week on Labour Safety and Hygiene-Fire and Explosion Prevention is launched

On March 22, the 18th National Week on Labour Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention is launched at a ceremony in My Tho city, Tien Giang province. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended this event.

The theme of the 18th National Week on Labour Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention is "Business and workers actively implement their rights and responsibilities under the Law on Labour Safety and Hygiene”.

The event aims to call on all businesses, localities and labourers, by using practical activities, to actively observe the Law on Labour Safety and Hygiene when it comes into effect from July 1st this year. It also focus on ensuring labour safety and health and preventing fires in production and daily life to limit losses for businesses and protect the lives of citizens.

After the launching ceremony, there was a part of competition on Labour Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention. The Tien Giang Provincial Steering Committee of the National Week Labour Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention held this competition in sixteen consecutive years with 99 units in the province attended. The competition consisted of the content on safety fire, first aid, labour accident, the theoretical understanding of the Law on on Labour Safety and Hygiene.
