With the theme “Continuing to strengthen the production, trading and consumption of safe vegetable and meat", the Food Safety Action Month in 2016 took place from April 15 to May 15, 2016 to concentrate on propagating, mobilizing people to use safe food, simultaneously strengthening to inspect processing unsafe hygiene food in province including paying attention to foods used widely in daily meals such as meat and vegetable.

According to Tien Giang Department of Health, the unsafe hygiene food is on red alarm rate, especially in recent times, the state of using banned substances in livestock and drug residues in vegetables and plant protection, has directly affected consumers’s health.
