The Lang Sen (Lotus Village) Festival 2016 was opened in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh on May 17 to express the gratitude and love of the people for President Ho.

Through the book, readers can learn about the thoughts and feelings of Nguyen Tat Thanh as the country was in bondage and his teaching methods aiming to inspire students to patriotism and teach them life skills.

In Quang Binh province, a photo exhibition entitled 'President Ho Chi Minh with the National Assembly and People's Council Elections' was opened at the Quang Binh Museum on May 17, displaying nearly 100 photos on activities of President Ho Chi Minh during elections through many periods.

On May 17, Ho Chi Minh City also held a ceremony to honour examples of individuals and collectives studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example.
