This is the fourth satellite emergency station launched by Ho Chi Minh City’s 115 Emergency Centre at gateways in order to serve and protect the lives of patients.

Thu Duc district is the northeastern gateway with many major jammed routes, crowded residential areas and several industrial zones, making it was very difficult for ambulances to take patients to hospitals, particularly during rush hour.

This is the first station using GPS to find the shortest route to pick-up patients and take them to the nearest medical facilities including Thu Duc’s general hospital, District 9’s hospital, Eastern Military Hospital, Thu Duc district’s hospital and Gia Dinh People’s Hospital.

In addition, Thu Duc district’s hospital has been self-sufficient in ambulances, not using those of the City’s Emergency Centre.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has announced that it will launch a satellite emergency station in District 2 in mid-June, and three others in hospitals in District 7, Binh Chanh and Trieu An districts in the third and fourth quarters this year.
