On June 15, Tien Giang Department of Health held the metting responsing to ASEAN Dengue Prevention Day 2016. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended this event.

The theme of the ASEAN Dengue Prevention Day 2016 is "Community checks Dengue together, sustainable success." To raise public awareness and strengthen the cooperation of countries in the prevention of dengue fever, World Health Organization and 10 ASEAN member comunity unify to choose June 15 as ASEAN Dengue Prevention Day. This demonstrate strong commitment of 10 ASEAN member comunity with determination towards an ASEAN community no dengue.

This is an annual activity of the Ministry of Health to improve the role and responsibility of the community and calls for attention and further cooperation at all levels of government, industry, social and political organizations for preventing from dengue.

Deputy of the PPC Tran Thanh Duc requried the Provincial Steering Committee for the Prevention of disease at all levels to strengthen inspection and supervision of the prevention of dengue. Strengthening community media activities with responsiblity and preventing dengue fever together with simple and practical actions for "No mosquito larva, no dengue". Each local recommends to deal with cases which does not implement prevention disease according to Decree No. 176/2013/ND-CP dated November 14, 2013 of the Government defining penalties for administrative violations against medical laws.
