Tien Giang launches Summer youth volunteer campaign 2016

The 2016 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign of Tien Giang province officially has just started in a ceremony taking place in the provincial Children Center on June 1. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended this event.

This year’s summer youth volunteer campaign, which is themed “Youth join hands in building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas”, will focus on a line-up of voluntary activities, including the construction of road with security light, dredging canal, concretizing rural road, presenting gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and poor students, giving free-of-charge medical check-ups and medicine to disadvantaged people, etc...

This year’s summer youth volunteer campaign took place from June 1 to Agust 20, 2016 with the participation of more than 500 youth volunteers from universities, colleges, Tien Giang General Hospital, etc…

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc, said that the campaign must be organised on a large-scale throughout the nation in diversified forms to attract youth participation. He suggested that the departments and unions actively collaborate implementation action programs set out as well as regularly monitor and support voluntary youth forces to make this year’s summer youth volunteer deeply and practical.
