Nearly 2,000 individuals awarded with title of Vietnamese heroic mothers

A meeting was held on July 28th in the southern province of Tien Giang to review emulation work in the first half of this year of 12 south-western provinces.

Accordingly, over the past months, the 12 west-southern provinces recognised 3,356 excellent working collectives, 680 provincial emulation individuals; and awarded 710 provincial emulation flags, together with 24,238 certificates of merit.

In addition, the provinces submitted proposals to the Prime Minister and the State President to recognise a labour hero and 4 national emulation individuals.

Nearly 150 medals of independence, 153 medals of labour at different ranks, and 318 certificates of merit from the Prime Minister were also awarded to those who deserved them.

In particular, the 12 west-southern provinces awarded and awarded posthumously the title of Vietnamese heroic mothers to 1,999 individuals.
