The Traffic Police Department has said that to ensure safety for the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day September 2, as well as safety of passengers, starting from August 16 traffic police will deploy measures to ensure traffic order and safety and social order across the nation.

The force will focus on limiting accidents and traffic congestion, while facilitating travel during the National Day holiday.

They will also strengthen patrols and the fight against crime, particularly those related to economic and drug crimes.

The focus will be on the centrally-run cities and localities with tourist attractions and major transport routes such as Highway No. 1A, 5, 10, 18, 20, 51 and other expressways.

The police will also strengthen the fight against crime on railways and inland waterways, especially smuggling and illegal transporting of prohibited goods, weapons, fireworks, and explosives.
