President Tran Dai Quang extols young people as pillars of nation

President Tran Dai Quang has affirmed that young people are the pillars of the nation which the Party and State always place at the centre of its strategy in developing human resources.

The State leader made the remark on October 13 at a ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of the Youth Federation of Vietnam.

He emphasised that young people were a pioneering force in national construction and defence as well as one of the decisive factors in the success of Vietnam’s modernisation and global integration process.
 
In praising the Youth Federation for its growth over the past six decades, President Quang urged the organisation to always be a companion that encourages young people to dream big.
 
He also asked the Youth Federation to work closely with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to help young people tap into their strengths in order to contribute to socio-economic development.
 
The Youth Federation currently has more than 7.3 members across the country, according to its Chairman Nguyen Phi Long.
