Workshop on processing technology in water supply

On October 19, at Mekong My Tho hotel, the Southern Water Supply branch has just organized the workshop on processing technology in water supply.

 

Leaders, technical managers from the water supply companies as well as consultants, contractors and members of the Southern Water Supply branch attended.

According to statistics and evaluation by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in the average per year, Vietnam has about 9,000 fatalities from water source as well as poor sanitary and  nearly 200,000 new cases of cancer. One of main reason is the use of polluted water.

Poluted water sources exceed over the control of activity by production, mining, trading and services. This asks Vietnam to urgently build a strong and effective legal framework to prevent water contamination.

Participants at the workshop underlined issues such as handling, cleaning pipe system by biotechnology, algae processing, setting centrifugal extractor being treated sludge, etc...The aim of the workshop helped companies to search and to apply solutions to improve water quality to meet the current water quality requirements.
