Mobilizing 2.57 billion VND for "Fund for the Poor" in 2016

In the peak of "Month for the Poor" in this year (from October 17-November 11) launched by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, there was  agencies and units, enterprises and patrons contributing 2.57 billion VND including 45.56 million VND of provincial level, 817.62 million VND of district level and 1.7 billion VND of commune level.

Thanks to this, the Fatherland Front Committee at levels have built 44 uinted houses, supporting project for 19 poor households, awarding scholarships to 19 disadvantaged childrens, supporting 2,513 gifts to poor households.

Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Huynh Van Hai thanked agencies and units, enterprises and patrons for enthusiastically supporting fund for the poor. He also hoped for continuing to receive donations in oder to join hands to care of the poor of Tien Giang province.

n this occasion, the district People's Committee and the district Vietnam Fatherland Front presented certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 1 individual for more positive contribution to “Fund for the Poor” of district in 2016.
