Mobilizing 1.7 billion VND for "Fund for the Poor" in 2016

Tan Phuoc district People’s Committee has just held preliminary campaign “Fund for the Poor” in 2016. 

According to multidimensional poor household investigation in 2016, Tan Phuoc district has 1,246 poor households, making up 8.2 percent and 766 nearly-poor households, making up 5.4 percent.

There are 9 collectives and 1 individual awarded district's certificates of merit.

Facilitating disadvantaged households to escape poverty sustainably, in the year, the district Campaign Board of “Fund for the Poor” mobilized over 1.7 billion VND, raiseing the total fund of 2 billion VND. Thanks to this, district has built 63 houses as well as organized many activities to take care of the poor, etc... worth over 1.8 billion VND.

The district also implemented the plan of the peak month for the poor from October 17 to November 11, 2016. After launching, there was nearly 40 agencies and departments, district organizations, individuals and enterprises in the district donating over 34 million VND.

 

On this occasion, the district People's Committee and the district Vietnam Fatherland Front presented certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 1 individual for more positive contribution to “Fund for the Poor” of district in 2016.
