Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspects vegetables, fruit stores
On December 2, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong, led the food safety and hygien inspection delegation of functional industries, has just inspected unexpectedly the food safety and hygiene for vegetables, fruit at My Tho city.

At My Tho market, the delegation examined one of vegetables, fruit stores at Phan Thanh Gian street, ward 2, My Tho city. At that time, the store was selling plenty of vegetables and bulbs of China origin such as red beet, garlic, potatoes, etc…
The store owmner said that the majority of items vegetables, bulb of China origin were sold herer taken from Thu Duc (Ho Chi Minh city) agricultural market so the this trade without invoices and vouchers as well as the origin. In addition to checking the origin, the inspection team also conducted samples of vegetables, bulbs at this store to test the quality.
After that, the delegation inspected fruits at ward 4 market of My Tho city. He visited one of fruit stores to check the trade of some fruits of China origin such as apple, pear, pomegranate, tangerin, etc… These fruits were selling here without invoice and voucher as well as origin.
At unscheduled examination, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong suggested that the delegation took samples and assigned Tien Giang Department of Processing and Trade for Agro-forestry-Fisheries Products to analyze.
From this result, this agency counseled the Provincial People’s Committee to give measures to ensure consumer’s food safety and hygiene. He also directed that delegation asked owners to obey the regulation of trade about documents to prove the origin of goods.
