Leader of the PPC inspects the work of disease prevention

Since the beginning of the year to September 14, 2017, ward 8 had 46 cases of dengue fever (up 35 cases compared to the same period in 2016). The local tackled 13 small outbreaks in the streets and the ward 8 launched large-scale spraying of mosquito-killing chemicals and launching environmental sanitation campaign along with promoting knowledge on disease prevention.

From the beginning of mid-September, 2017, Chau Thanh district had 306 cases of dengue fever in communes and town, including 1 dead case in Phu Phong commune. The district recorded 32 small outbreaks treated, not to occur a large outbreak.

The delegation came to the actual inspection of many water containers which were home to larval breeding of dengue fever in households. In order to reduce the dengue fever, the health sector suggested the local authority to strengthen the surveillance of cases and supervise dengue fever prevention, especially proactively prevent dengue by cleaning environment, killing mosquito and mosquito larva.

Leaders of the PPC noted that the health sector of two locals need to continue implementing prevention of dengue fever and mobilize community to organize and maintain the campaign to kill mosquito larva in the province, to tackle many outbreaks in areas with risk as indicated epidemiology, to further inspection activities, supervision and support at all levels, especially the high number of infected communes and the risk of an outbreak, etc...
