President Quang visits flood-hit region in aftermath of Damrey
President Tran Dai Quang visited a local community on the outskirts of Da Nang on November 7 to inspect the flood relief work in the wake of Typhoon Damrey.

In Hoa Khuong commune of Hoa Vang district, the State leader visited a number of poor families hit hard by the storm-triggered rains and floods and called on local residents to help each other to quickly restore their lives to normality.
He stated that the Party and State leaders deeply sympathise with the people in the central region for their losses and difficulties, while affirming that many relief measures have been undertaken to help the disaster-hit residents.
On the afternoon of the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the severely flooded ancient town of Hoi An and worked with the local authorities on preparing for a number of APEC events scheduled to take place in the UNESCO heritage site.
PM Phuc extended his condolences to the families whose relatives were killed or have gone missing in the wake of Typhoon Damrey.
He also asked the local government to clear the remnants as quickly as possible in order to welcome APEC delegates in the coming days, as well as taking the necessary action to protect the heritage town from being damaged by rising seawaters.
