Fatherland Front leader extends Christmas greetings in Tien Giang province

On the afternoon of December 22, the delegation of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front led by President of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front (VFF) Tran Thanh Man visited and extended his greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas season.

At the My Tho city diocese, President of the VFF Tran Thanh Man highly valued the contributions of local Catholics in realising the socio-economic development goals. He expected the Tien Giang bishop to mobilise priests and Catholics to continue adhering to the great national unity bloc towards the common goal of bringing the country to a higher level of development.

On this occasion, the President of the VEF informed the bishops and priests about the overall socio-economic development of the country in 2017. At the same time, he emphasized the consistent policy of the Party and State on the policy of freedom of belief and freedom of religion; The Party and State will continue to create favorable conditions for the people to exercise their religious freedom.

Through the bishops and priests, on behalf of the Party and the State, the President of the VEF Man sent to My Tho city diocese a happy Christmas.

Bishop of the My Tho city diocese Nguyen Van Kham sincerely thanked the attention and facilitation of the Party and local authorities for the religious activities of Catholics in the province. In response to that concern, Catholic compatriots in the province will actively learn and labour for the emulation patriotism. It is reported that Tien Giang has about 52,000 Catholics.
