Binh An is is proclaimed the new rural commune

On January 26, Binh An commune has just been proclaimed the new rural commune by the Go Cong Dong district People’s Committee and the Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new rural areas.

Over 4 years of implementation of the national target program on building new rural areas, Binh An commune reached 19/19 criteria of the new rural commune.

The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved, the per capita income is VND37.5 million/person/year, the poverty rate is reduced to 3.34%. The percentage of employed people is over 90%.

The education system has been upgraded. Every year, over 90% of households reach 3 cultural family standards, etc... The total capital of the new rural construction of the commune is over VND160 billion including VND53 billion contributed by people.

At the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc awarded the emulation flag and the welfare fund worth VND1 billion to Binh An.
