Free swimming teaching for children launched

The My Tho city People’s Committee has cooperated with Australian Organization AWSOM (Australia Water Safety on the Mekong) to provide free swimming teaching at the My Tho city Sports Center for 366 children who are kindergarten, elementary school children with disability children in My Tho city.

Participants of this swimming class are the pupils from Bong Sen Kindergarten, Le Thi Hong Gam School, Sao Sang School and Thu Khoa Huan Elementary School, Le Quy Don School and Nhan Ai Disability School, My Tho city. The swimming study lasts from January 8 to January 13, 2018.

During the swimming study, pupils were divided into groups at the schools for swimming instruction. They were instructed by swim instructors from AWSOM to teach their skills: exercise, water, back, frog swimming, etc…

Free swimming teaching for children is practical because it not only helps pupils to exercise but also know how to swim in the event of drowning, especially in the rainy season, contributing to the reduction of accident.
