Activities to bring a happy Tet for poor people
A lot of activities have been carried out across Vietnam to support policy beneficiaries, labourers, and poor people on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

On February 10, Politburo member cum Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and some sponsors visited and presented 1,000 Tet gifts, worth VND800 million, to local Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiary families, and poor households in Can Giuoc district, Long An province.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Binh asked the authorities of Can Giuoc district, Long An province to provide conditions of comfort for local people to enjoy a warm Tet.
On the same day, Tran Thanh Man, a Party Central Committee member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee visited and presented 50 Tet gifts to poor households and victims of Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin at Thuan Hoa commune, Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province.
He suggested that the province continue to pay close attention to sustainable poverty reduction, the development of high-tech agriculture, increasing the people's access to education, and developing tourism.
On February 10, a delegation of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee members visited and conveyed Tet greetings to respected intellectuals and artists in the province.
Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Confederation (HCMCLC) has also organised programmes for 600 labour families, who are unable to return to their homes during the Tet holiday and children, particularly those living in difficult circumstances.
*On February 10, on behalf of Former General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, Deputy Chief of Party Central Committee (PCC)'s Office Nguyen Viet Hung led a delegation visiting and presenting Tet gifts from Former General Secretary Le Kha Phieu to the local people in Rong village, Thua Thien – Hue province.
