Seminar on divorce reduction among young families

ABO - On March 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Women's Union and Tien Giang delegation held a seminar on "Solutions to reduce divorce in families, especially in young families " in Tien Giang province.

According to statistics, the divorce situation in young families in the province has a tendency to increase. From 2015 to 2017, the People's Court at two levels of Tien Giang province received 16,418 cases and settled 16,266 cases for marriage and family cases, which settled 5,913 cases for couples at the age from 18 to 30 years old, accounting for 36.3% of the total number of cases. Through the process of reconciliation and the settlement of the marriage showed that the family conflict was the cause of the highest divorce, accounting for 9,461 cases.

According to delegates, in oder to reduce divorce, couples need to be aware of their roles and responsibilities in building a family as well as loving, respecting and bearing each other. Especially, young couples need to improve their education, to counsel premarital knowledge, communication and family behavior. At the same time, all branches, levels and mass organizations should promote the communication activities on building a happy family.
