Association for Promoting Education praised for contributions to education
ABO/NDO - Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hailed the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education' (VAPE) for its significant contributions to the national cause of education and training during her working visit to the VAPE on March 29.

She said that the VAPE has also contributed to building a learning-oriented society, enhancing the intellectual levels of people, training human resources and nurturing talents.
VAPE's movements to encourage learning has spread to all localities across the country and has received great support from the whole society, Vice President Thinh noted.
The Vice President also expressed her delight at the growth of the funds for assisting needy children in pursuing their studies, which currently stands at over VND3.3 trillion (US$145.2 million).
She affirmed that learning and lifelong education play a crucial role in national development and international integration, thus, the VAPE should pay special attention to models on providing training for rural labourers and start-ups by youngsters, while promoting learning among intellectuals.
Furthermore, the VAPE should continue to fulfil its consultative role on education policies and projects to contribute to improving the quality of Vietnam's education sector.
