To strengthen activities to prevent disease summer

ABO - Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc has just chaired the conference with the aim at preventing and controlling dengue fever disease in the first three months of the year as well as strengthening activities to prevent disease summer.

According to Tien Giang Department of Health, in the first three months of 2018, there were 237 cases of dengue fever disease, decreased 58% cases, the hand-foot-mouth disease were 109 cases, decreased 57% in comparison with the same period of 2017.  Diseases in schools had high incidence of disease cases including mumps, chicken pox, in which mumps had 216 cases, up over 52% over the same period.

Tien Giang health sector deployed a plan to strengthen the prevention of dengue fever, the disease summer with the key tasks: to effectively control of dengue fever outbreaks; effectively control the incidence of hand-foot-mouth disease in schools and communities; increase vaccination rates for vaccinated diseases.

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc said that it is necessary to step up the propaganda activities, especially to change the way of communication in a deep way in each locality. To mobilize and coordinate between departments, unions and local leaders, in which the professional responsibility of the health sector is pioneering. A prophylaxis needs to aim at raising awareness that changes the behavior of people about preventive practice.
