The Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project urged to speed up

ABO – Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat urged to speed up the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project at the working session on May 8 with the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee and some departments.

At the working session, representatives of the Ministry of Transport reported the progress of ground clearance, the agreement with the local water drainage system, the implementation of construction, etc...

Accordingly, the total cost of ground clearance under the decision approved the project adjustment over VND1,600 billion; Of which, the province approved over VND1.300 billion and disbursed VND1,275.4 billion. Until now, the local handed over 49.3 / 51.1 km of the ground, etc...

The Ministry of Transport also requested the Tien Giang provincial Management Board of building-investment traffic work projects soon to deal with the remaining points in the areas handed over; to speed up the work of inventory, price adjustment, to approve of expenditures and payment of compensations for the adjustment packages for the supplementary traffic junctions of Than Cuu Nghia and An Thai Trung to allocate ground in June 2018; to accelerate the relocation of public works and infrastructures such as high-medium-low-voltage power lines, water systems, fiber optical cable, etc ...

Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat said that the delegation of the Ministry of Transport also surveyed many places on this highway before working with the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee. By this time, the project has been performed quite smoothly. However, the speed of the project needed to be accelerated to be completed and put into operation before 2020.

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the Provincial People's Committee has made efforts to direct the localities to clear the ground. Some problems on land clearance will soon be resolved by the province to speed up the progress of the project.
