ABO - On May 31, the Tien Giang Labor Confederation held a meeting to summarize the Workers' Month 2018, commended the outstanding trade union officials and the program of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) dialogued with union officials.

The Worker’s Month 2018 was organized by the Tien Giang Labor Federation with the theme "Each grassroots trade union – a benefit of member" with many activities, contents, forms, achieved many practical results. Most prominent was the propaganda education, promoting the emulation movement to welcome the 12th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.

The activities of taking care of material and spiritual life, implementing the regimes and policies for laborers were paid more attention. Implementing the regulations on grassroots democracy, the inspection and supervision of the implementation of labor legislation at all levels of trade unions contributed to building the harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

On this occasion, the Tien Giang Labor Confederation rewarded 21 collectives and 8 individuals with many achievements in the special emulation movement of the Worker’s Month 2018 and 131 individuals with many achievements in organizing the workers movement as well as trade union activities for the period 2015 - 2017.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong praised the efforts of trade unions and workers, employees and workers in the province. At the same time, in the coming time, the leaders of departments, branches and functional agencies at all levels should regularly listen, record and consider promptly the comments of members, workers, employees, laborers.

Chairman of the PPC also exchanged specific answers and noted 15 comments from trade union officials including education, traffic accidents, labor export, policies and benefits for labor, etc…
