Decrease in death toll by traffic accidents in first six months reported

ABO – According to the Tien Giang provincial Traffic Safety Board, there were 197 traffic accidents resulting in 122 deaths and 120 injuries in first six months of the year.

In comparison with the same period in 2017, traffic accidents increased 13 cases (up 7.07%); the death toll was 12 people (down 8.96%); the number of injured people increased by 9 people (up 8.11%).

In particular, the road traffic accident occurred 192 cases, increased 4.92% in comparison with the same period in 2017.

The waterway traffic accident occurred 5 cases, increased 4 cases in comparison with the same period in 2017.

Many districts has the highest number of traffic accidents occurred such as Chau Thanh district (60 cases), Cai Be district (33 cases) and Go Cong Tây district (25 cases).
