Up to June 25, the whole province has 1,409,475 people participated in health insurance, an increase of 7,839 people compared to the end of 2017, reaching 79.5% compared to the population of the province. With such a rate, the province needs to have measures to achieve the target of 81.3% according to Decision No. 1167 of the Prime Minister. Accordingly, from now until the end of 2018, about 32,000 new health insurance premiums will be applied.
For new rural communes, there are only 6 new rural communes in the province reached 85% coverage (85% or more required). Two communes reaches 60% or less than of the total as Trung An (My Tho city) reached 56.1% and Tan Trung commune (Go Cong town) reached 57.6%.

At the meeting, delegates analyzed the causes of difficulties in mobilizing people to buy health insurance; at the same time, proposed solutions to remove for each target group to increase the proportion of people participating in health insurance in the coming time.
