In the first 6 months of 2018, there were many positive changes in food hygiene and safety in the province. There were a close collaboration between the three sectors of Health - Agriculture and Industry. The propaganda, advocacy as well as scientific research was well carried out.

In addition, the sectors also strengthened the inspection and examination: inspection of establishments producing, processing and trading food; the health sector took 1,534 surveillance samples, thereby making records, administrative sanctions 20 cases.

The Agriculture and Rural development sector took 521 samples in all fields, of which 128 establishments inspected unexpectedly, taking 27 samples including 2 samples failed, administrative fining over VND62 million. Meanwhile, the Department of Industry and Trade, the market management force inspected and examined 46 penalties, fined over VND300 million,etc...

In the situation of food poisoning, in the first 6 months, the province occurred 1 poisoning at Knitpassion Co., Ltd., Long Giang Industrial Park (Tan Phuoc district. There were 12 infected because of microbial contamination, no death.

At the meeting, representatives of localities and leaders of various sectors mentioned many causes leading to difficulties in ensuring food hygiene and safety as well as proposing solutions for better implementation in the coming time.

At the same time, he required levels and sectors should continue to promote inspection, inspection and sanction on violations of food hygiene and safety in the coming time.
