Exhibition remembers birth of late President Ton Duc Thang
ABO/NDO – An exhibition entitled ‘President Ton Duc Thang – An outstanding son of Vietnam’ kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on August 17 as part of celebrations for the 130th birth anniversary of the late President (1888-2018).

The exhibition displays 270 photos and an information board reviewing the life and career of President Ton Duc Thang.
A photo collection on ‘President Ton Duc Thang and Vietnamese workers’ movement’ was also made public on the occasion, highlighting the late State leader’s great contributions to the Vietnamese working class and to the nation’s revolutionary cause for liberation and reunification.
The exhibition will run through August 24 in Nguyen Hue pedestrian street in district 1.
The same day, winners of a writing contest on ‘Uncle Ton and Vietnam’s revolution and his hometown An Giang’ were honoured at a ceremony held at his memorial site in My Hoa Hung commune, Long Xuyen district, An Giang province.
Launched in May this year, the contest received more than 25,000 entries from 350 individuals and collectives across the province.
