In the first six months of 2018, the Tien Giang province Red Cross has been active in charity, health care and blood donation.

The total value of functional activities in 6 months of 2018 reached VND37.8 billion, up 17% over the same period; whereby more than 397,000 poor people, disadvantaged people, sick people were helped, etc…., contributing to implementing the social security policy of the Party and the State.

In the field of voluntary blood donation, in the first six months of 2018, the Tien Giang province Red Cross organized many voluntary blood donation and received 5,204 units of blood.

In the academic year 2017 - 2018, the work of the association and the Red Cross movement continued to operate stably. The mobilization’s result of the Red Cross in schools got over VND9.9 billion to support and support humanitarian assistance for 64,330 turns of students, teachers.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Red Cross of Vietnam and the Tien Giang province Red Cross of awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 9 individuals with excellent achievements.
