ABO - On September 21, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Pham Anh Tuan conducted a fact-finding tour of flood prevention works in Cai Lay district.

The delegation surveyed the flood protection projects in Phu Nhuan commune, My Thanh Nam ommune and My Thanh Bac commune. It is known that, in this phase, many northern communes of the National Highway 1A of Cai Lay district has 14 dike construction works to be built to ensure flood protection for rice with a total cost of VND 7.5 billion.

At the survey sites, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Pham Anh Tuan asked the Cai Lay district People's Committee and communes to continue monitoring the floods and focusing on resources to implement the protection production plans. It is necessary to accelerate the implementation of the works but ensure the quantity and quality with the aim to not letting the area of paddy in the area affected by the flood.
