The handicraft cooperatives create jobs for nearly 6,000 rural workers

ABO - According to chairman of the Tien Giang province Cooperative Alliance Nguyen Van Hong, local authorities have set up 14 cooperatives in the handicraft sector, mainly producing handicrafts, knitting wool, garment export, feed production, electricity transmission, brick production, etc... attracted nearly 6,000 rural workers.

Through evaluation, the activities of cooperatives in the field of cottage industry continue to develop well and stably. Some cooperatives have boldly innovated technology, improved productivity, etc… to promote production and consumption of products. Many cooperatives also signed large and stable orders, bringing great production - business performance, contributing to job creation for rural workers.

For example, the Quang Minh Cooperative specialized in manufacturing and exporting handicrafts materials from plastic materials, plastic, etc… contributed to creating jobs for more than 3,800 workers.
According to Nguyen Van Hong, in the first eight months of the year, the cooperative cottage industry and handicraft in the province has achieved total revenue of VND 380 billion, up nearly 24% over the same period last year. The average income of employees is about VND 50.5 million/year.
