Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong inspects the disease situation

ABO - On the morning of October 25, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong and leaders of the Tien Giang Department of Health, Tien Giang Department Agriculture and Rural Development inspected the situation after the flood in the area of Tan Phuoc distric and Cai Lay district.

In Tan Phuoc district, thanks to the initiative in prevention plan, so far diseases such as dengue fever, foot and mouth disease, chicken pox, etc... decreased compared with the same period in 2017. The number of mumps cases increased in comparision with the same period but not significantly.

Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong highly appreciates Tan Phuoc district's efforts in the prevention and control of diseases and epidemics, particularly those diseases at raising risk in the flood season. Particularly, suggestions for repair of facilities, coordination and identification of target groups for timely control of diseases and epidemics in the district in the coming time are noted by the Chairman of the PPC.

At Cai Lay district, the organization of health sector in the district basically met the needs of medical examination and treatment in the people. Particularly for the situation of disease in the flood season, specifically for dengue fever, hand-mouth-and-foot disease decreased compared with the same period; the other diseases in the district were generally controlled and stable.

Through the inspection, Chairman of the PPC proposed that the health sector in Cai Lay district need to continue monitoring the situation of diseases in people, especially the disease is easy, strengthening the active source of drug treatment, minimizing the lowest disease outbreaks occur.
