Nearly VND 24 billion mobilized to care for the poor

ABO - The Tien Giang province Fund for the Poor has just summarized activities in 2018 and launched the campaign for the “Fund for the Poor” in 2019.

In 2018, the "Fund for the Poor" at all levels in the province received positive contributions from collectives, individuals and people in the province and outside the province, with over VND 23,923 billion.

From this fund, the "Fund for the Poor" at all levels in the province implemented social security programs such as building 12 gratitude houses for policy families, building and repairing 587 solidarity for the poor; providing capital for production development for 85 poor households, giving gifts to 89 poor pupils who overcame difficulty to good study; organizing medical examination and medicine for 341 poor people, etc…

In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels in cooperation with member organizations mobilized many organizations and individuals to directly support donors to implement charitable humanitarian programs and social security in the province.

On this occasion, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Giang province awarded certificates of merit to many collectives and individuals contributed to the “Fund for the Poor”.

The Mobilization Board of the “Fund for the Poor” launched the mobilization campaign for the "Fund for the Poor" of the province in 2019.
