Many activities to respond to the National Action month on HIV/AIDS

ABO – The Tien Giang provincial Steering Committee for AIDS, drugs and prostitution prevention and control has issued Plan 3265/KH-BCD on organizing the National Action month on HIV/AIDS prevention and control in 2018 with the objective of “Strengthening prevention activities, HIV detection, health insurance for HIV infected people, vulnerable people, people with high risk behaviors and people living in remote areas”.

The theme of the National Action month on HIV/AIDS prevention in 2018 is "Take action to achieve 90-90-90 goals by 2020" as the goal set by the United Nations, which targets that, by 2020, 90% of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status, 90% of all people with diagnosed HIV infections will receive sustained antiretroviral therapy, and 90% of all people receiving antiretroviral therapy will have viral suppression to stay healthy and reduce the risk of HIV transmission to others.

Tien Giang province holds many major activities in the National Action month on HIV/AIDS prevention and control such as: Promulgation of guiding documents; organizing conferences and seminars; Organizing communication activities, mobilizing in the month of national action on HIV / AIDS prevention and control.

The implementation of the National Action month on HIV/AIDS prevention and control began on November 10th to December 10th.
