To protect the property and people's life, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee invested VND80.5 billion to deploy emergency works to overcome, strengthen the severely damaged sites such as the dyke in Tan Phong commune, Cai Lay district; Ba Rai river, Phu An river, Cai Coi river, Tra Tan river, Phu Phong river, etc ....
At the same time, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee directed the localities to review and deploy landslide works as assigned. In addition, localities needed to maintain a model of water hyacinth combined with the planting of wave-shielding trees on large rivers with strong currents and more waterway traffic in the spirit of the project 1002 of the Prime Minister on community-based disaster risk management.
