According to the health sector, in 2018, the province has 14 diseases decreased, 5 diseases increased and 3 cases of food poisoning; maintaining the reduction of child malnutrition; the coverage rate for health insurance reached 82.2% and expected to reach 82.5% by the end of the year. During the year, many health care projects were implemented to improve the capacity to fulfill the tasks of protection, care and improvement of people's health.
There are 170/173 health stations in the province meeting the national criteria for health; 100% of medical stations have doctors participating in medical examination and treatment; 136 clinics have 1 doctor; 9 clinics have 2 doctors. From 2014 to the end of 2017, there were 86 interdisciplinary trainers at the address used for grassroots health workforce. At present, there are 27 health stations without doctors on the spot and need to increase from the district level.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong recognized the results in the health care of the people of health stations; at the same time, he shared the difficulties that the clinic is facing. In addition, he wants doctors and medical staffs to constantly improve their skills and attitudes to serve people.
“The doctor is good, the patient will trust. Therefore, medical doctors and clinics should not be self-deprecating as commune health staff. At the same time, the branches and levels should focus on improving the transmission lines, fiber optic cables, investing in equipment, bringing smart medical facilities, etc... ", said Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong.
