Vice Chairman of the PPC Le Van Nghia highly appreciated the prevention and control of African swine fever in Go Cong Tay district. He stressed that this is an important work so the district should focus on directing the prevention and control of epidemics, absolutely not bo be negligent and subjective.
He asked district leaders to regularly check, urge and remind people in spraying disinfectant facilities, needing specific solutions, details when epidemics occur, needing to pay attention to human resources, land fund used for destroying sick pigs, instructing people in necessary documents, etc...
According to the report of Go Cong Tay district People's Committee, the total number of pigs in the district now has 66,770 pigs/2,285 breeding households; in which households raising more than 50 pigs/household are 348 households with 37,999 pigs, 1,937 households with family households with 28,771 pigs, 6 concentrated households with 4,348 pigs.
Prior to the complicated development of African swine fever, Go Cong Tay district implemented sanitation and disinfection for 2 batches with about 300 liters of medicine per time in 13/13 communes (100% rate); regularly promoting inspection and handling of transport means, concentrated slaughter houses, promoting propaganda, planning to respond in all situations, preparing supplies and tools to conduct destruction if the African swine fever occurs,..
After the working session with district leaders, Vice Chairman of the PCC inspected the situation of prevention and control of African swine fever with the leader of Thanh Nhut commune People's Committee.
