Surveying social assistance policy in Tien Giang province

ABO - On June 24, the Standing Committee of the NA’s Committee for Social Affairs in accordance with the Tien Giang provincial NA delegation surveyed the Tien Giang Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs on the implementation of the social assistance policy for the elderly and disabilities in Tien Giang province. According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, implementing Decree 136/2013 / ND-CP regulating social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries of the Government and legal documents, so far, Tien Giang province has implemented a monthly social allowance for 87,385 people.

Among them, there are 572 orphans, 3,923 single-parent children of poor households, 31,576 elderly people over 80 years old without pensions, social insurance allowance, 35,221 people with severe and special disability, 6,179 families family, individuals are looked after at the community with the total cost of implementation on 381.96 billion VND. In general, social assistance policies have achieved positive results, ensuring subsidies for disadvantaged people.
