Vietnamese students won three golds at IOM 2019
ABO/NDO – According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Vietnam achieved impressive results for the first time participating in the 4th Olympiad of Metropolises 2019 with three gold medals, three silver medals, and two bronze medals.

Vietnamese students also won the silver cup for the team and reached the Top 3 best cities in the category of Blitz-contest. Gold medals went to Nguyen Dinh Hieu in the category of Informatics, Duong Trung Kien (Chemistry) and Nguyen Bui Quoc Anh (Chemistry). Meanwhile, silver medals went to Le Duc Khoi (Mathematics), Ho Phi Dung (Physics) and Tran Minh Quan (Physics). Ha Huy Khoi (Mathematics) and Nguyen Tuan Hoang (Informatics) won bronze medals.
Vietnam team participated in the 4th Olympiad of Metropolises, 2019, with eight 12th graders from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, competing in four subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Informatics (two students per subject).
The 4th Olympiad of Metropolises, 2019, is one of the two events of Moscow International Education Week, which took place from August 29 to September 6 in the city of Moscow, Russia.
The Olympiad of Metropolises is an international team competition, which is held in Moscow every year at the initiative of the Mayor of the city. Its participants are 14-18 year old students who live in the biggest metropolises of the world. The first olympiad took place in 2016 with the participation of 173 students from 22 cities.
A team of eight participants represents each city. They are to show their knowledge of physics, chemistry, mathematics and informatics. The competition consists of a blitz-contest and two main rounds.
