Over 117 billion VND contributed to the Fund for the Poor

ABO - In 2019, organizations and individuals inside and outside Tien Giang province actively contributed on the Fund for the Poor with the total of 25,125 billion VND (an increase of 5.02% compared to 2018) and other the social security program as 92,455 billion VND (up 6.12% compared to 2018).

From the mobilized fund, the campaign committee of the Fund for the Poor at various levels in Tien Giang province has carried out many jobs such as building gratitude houses, great unity houses for policy families and poor households; mobilizing medical examination and treatment and providing free medicine; awarding scholarships to poor pupils and students who overcome difficulties to study well, etc...

These are the figures reported at the conference summarizing the Fund for the Poor mobilization, the social security programs in 2019 and launching of the peak month for the poor from October 17 to 18- 11-2019, organized by the Tien Giang provincial Fatherland Front Committee, on October 18.

Also on this occasion, the Central Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee awarded 3 certificates of merit to enterprises with achievements in contributing to the Fun for the Poor in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificate of merit for 12 collectives and 6 individuals.
