Surveying culverts of Ba Rai - Phu An project

ABO – On November 12, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong, leaders of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and former leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, former leader of Agriculture sector through the period, etc… actually surveyed a number of sluice gates to prevent floods, high tides and salinity of the Ba Rai - Phu An project in Cai Lay district, Cai Lay town.

Accordingly, the delegation surveyed the bridge construction, Cai La dam of Hiep Duc commune, the bridge on the hamlet 2 of Phu An commune, the Thay Thanh sluice gate of Phu An commune in Cai Lay district; the Long Hung bridge crosses Nguyen Tan Thanh canal in Chau Thanh district and Xoai Hot sluice gate in Chau Thanh district).

At the actual survey, former leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Agriculture sector through periods expressed their joy because the system of culverts has been completely closed.

“With the drastic guidance of the provincial leaders, leaders of Agriculture sector, culvert works in the Ba Rai - Phu An project system has been completed and put into operation. The use of these culverts will help prevent floods, tides and saline intrusion”, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, former Director of the Tien Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nguyen Van Khang said.

According to comrade Le Van Huong, the Ba Rai - Phu An Project has currently basically been completely closed; the Go Cong Sweetening project has also closed and dredged "life-line" channels to bring fresh water to the eastern part of the province. If this year drought and salinity occur like 2016, Tien Giang province will not worry.

It is known that the Ba Rai - Phu An project has 30 culvers, of which 22 culverts in Cai Lay district and 8 culverts in Cai Lay town. Currently, all these sluices are completed and put into operation.
