Chairman of the PPCC inspected the pumping station area at the Saliset canal, section through Ward 5, Go Cong town. This is a pumping station taking water from Go Cong canal and Son Quy canal to Saliset canal in order to supply to the Cau Chay pumping station and and Tran Van Dang canal, pumping to supply production water to the communes of Go Cong Dong district. At present, this canal is being dredged and 8 pumping machine are arranged at pumping stations which are operating to get water in possible conditions.

Comrade Le Van Huong suggested the local government of Go Cong Dong district urgently need to dredge the area near the location of the pumps in order to clear the stored water. At the same time, the survey force will be proactive in dredging the shallow areas, in an attempt to maintain the water intake for a few days.

According to the assessment of functional departments of Tien Giang province, the implementation of guidelines and solutions for dredging Go Cong canal and Son Quy canal to pump into Saliset canal in recent days has brought remarkable efficiency.
